industry entertainment korea

industry entertainment korea
- Most celebrities start training in their pre-teens or teens because the training process is usually very long. There are people who start later. It all depends on your skill level and the company that you sign. If you need extra language or acting training, then your training period can be longer. Also, certain companies want to train their artists longer than others. YG is known to train their artists for a longer amount of time, but they also let their artists have more freedom once they debut.

There are people in Korean band who are not Korean. One of the members of the extremely popular band Super Junior is Chinese and the newly debuted band U-Kiss has both Chinese and Japanese members. Since the Korean entertainment industry is trying to branch out and "conquer" markets in other countries, they are usually pretty open to having people of other nationalities in their bands. So far there are no non-Asians in any Korean bands, but the audition process for both SM and JYP is open to people of all ethnicities.

And as for dating... some companies are more open to their artists dating than others. SM and DSP, for example, don't really like their artists to be in relationships, but they can't really do anything to stop them. Most artists choose not to date because of their fans, mostly. Korean fans are known for being very clingy and a bit obsessive about their favorite singers/bands and most artists are afraid that they would loose fans or that their fans would in some way harm the girl they decide to date.
Hope that helped!!
-yes.... celebrities like BOA started dancing and singingwhen she was about 8 years old... pretty scary huh?
some just start at the age of 12 or 13......

and yes,, there are foreignors, but not that many....
but yes, some korean companies want to vary things up, and try to look for chinese or japanese talents.....
unfortunately, korean celebrities are given the ADVANTAGE, for being korean... RACE rises over beauty, talent, and fashion in most cases even in china, japan, and other countries..... at most i believe they can be like backdancers or supporters, no matter how good they are....
but i hope this doesnt cause a misunderstanding, there were alot of koreans who wanted to make it big in china or japan, but at the best could be a supporter.... the ONLY successful person i know is Younha which i think she is half-japanese half-korean....
so its the same for every country...

and yes, celebrities are not allowed to date within the studio, though if its a personal life the company cant do anything about it.....
but that doesnt apply to korean,,, same with other countries..
even america,,, look at the most famous one which caused controversies which was britney spears and one of the backdancers....

actually..BoA started training when she was 11 [to the poster above]

1. It could be possible, but the younger the better. Generally, korean celebs train for 4-5 years, even longer if they have to. But if you're really good, 2-3 years.
2. There are some foreigners, but usually entertainment companies prefer Asians
3. Of course they're allowed to date, entertainment companies have no reason why that they should prohibit that. But most celebrities don't because they'll have to deal with all the publicity or they don't have time because of touring or training
